Paint Party - Skating Penguin (Blythwood JPS Kindergarten special event)

This painting was reserved for my daughter’s class “March Break” paint party (helping children to love art event) on March 03, 2023. The children had an amazing time painting the Skating Penguin. They also had the opportunity to be extra creative working on their own penguins’ hats, scarves, skates, and trees! Every child demonstrated their individuality! Loved it!

The children discussed what they have learned throughout the painting process with their teachers at the end of the session. It was so nice to hear the children shared their experiences with each other.

A big thank you to my daughter’s teachers, class parents, and volunteers for making this event a success.

This was Sarah’s painting…

I asked Sarah about her snow technique which was different. She said she used the “whack to splatter” (whacking brush to brush) technique as she wanted to try something new! She said she learned it before, and she thought she could use it on this painting.

I also asked her about the colour of her ice. She said she’s the artist, and she can choose the colour she wants to use! :)
